REVIEW: Tarte Cosmetics Tartelette Tease palette

As part of my Sephora purchases last week, I bought the Tartelette Tease palette . The full-sized In Bloom palette was beautiful. I did not buy it as I already ordered the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette. I purchased this palette after reading reviews, but I was also interested in the size. My current palettes are generally difficult to transport when travelling. This one fits right into my purse!

The Packaging

This palette comes in a sturdy, gold-coloured cardboard case. The cover is fun and colourful. This palette is compact, making it ideal for travelling. Included in this palette is a mirror, and a magnetic closure.

The Eyeshadows

Tartelette Tease contains six shadows – two lustre shadows and four matte shadows. The shade BFF is a light plum. FIRST KISS is a shimmering mauve, while WINK is a a matte soft pink. CRUSH is a taupe shimmer. WHISPER is a pale pink. The final shadow, HEARTBREAKER, is an earthy brown. Both CRUSH and FIRST KISS are lustre/shimmer shadows.

Each of these shadows are formulated with Tarte’s signature Amazon clay.

Below are swatches of each shade. From left to right: Whisper, Crush, Heartbreaker, Wink, First Kiss, BFF.

The Wear

These shadows are highly pigmented, and give a great colour payoff. They have a soft texture, making them a little difficult to apply. The second time I wore these shadows, I applied a primer underneath. This increased the longevity of the colours. Each of these colours blends into the lid without creasing. These shadows are vibrant.

Tartelette Tease is available for $25 from Tarte Cosmetics official website or Sephora’s official website.

If you have tried Tartelette Tease or Tartelette in Bloom, I’d love to hear about your experience with the palette!
