Erin Angela’s Top 3 Tips for Stress-Free, Easy Plane Travel in Hot Summer Months

Hello, lovelies!

Summer is a popular time to travel. Travel by plane is one of the most common methods to travel across the country or the world. I tweak my travel tips any time I travel during the summer. My Toronto trip is days away (can you say excited!?) and I plan to enact these tips myself.

1) Arrive early 

Arrive for your flight with plenty of time to spare. Most airlines recommend checking in for your flight 90 minutes before your flight if traveling within the country. If you are travelling between countries (for example, between Canada and the U.S.) you should arrive 120 minutes before your flight.
2) Pack lightly 

still struggle with this tip. As I write this, I can hear my boyfriend say, “Babe, you only need to pack clothes for two days.” I plan to pack light. Packing lightly will offer flexibility during summer travels. Not only do you have less baggage to worry about, but it is easier to track once your flight lands. You should try to stick to carry-on luggage, if possible.

3) Reconfirm your flight details 

You should reconfirm your flight details and check-in time 24-hours in advance of your flight. This reconfirmation will give you advance notice of any delays or changes, like a downsize in aircraft or a change in gate location.
