3 Tips to Keep Your Skin Soft in Winter and Eliminate Dryness

Hello, lovelies!

Achieving soft, smooth skin in the winter is easier than you may think. Temperature fluctuations and warm, indoor air are often the culprits of dry, dehydrated skin. Here are my top tips to eliminate dry skin!

Choose your cleansers carefully

The ingredients in your daily cleansers can contribute to dry skin. Avoid soap-based cleansers and soaps in favour of creamy cleansers. Anything that has alcohol listed as an ingredient is drying.

Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize

This tip comes from advice that my grandmother always drilled into my brain – moisturizing is the key to youthful skin. Apply moisturizer as soon as possible after showering to lock-in moisture. Moisturizer often works well when your skin is still slightly damp.

Eat well for healthy skin

Never underestimate the power of hydrating foods. Staying hydrated during the day will benefit your skin. Eat foods with high water contents for hydrated, radiant skin.

3 Eyeshadow Tips That Will Change Your Routine

Hello, lovelies!

Eyeshadow can be intimidating for even the most advanced makeup artists. Knowing how to use the product can help you apply it effortlessly. Here are three unique tips to help you achieve a flawless eyeshadow look!

Make eyeshadow shades more vibrant with a white base

Apply a white base before eyeshadow to make the hue pop. Blend the white shade all over your eyelid before applying other colours for vibrancy.

Easily fix broken eyeshadow

Has your favourite eyeshadow palette broken? To fix any broken eyeshadows, apply a fee drops of rubbing alcohol to the broken eyeshadow, mix it, and smooth the eyeshadow with a small spoon before pressing it flat. Allow it to dry for a brand-new look!

Reduce eyeshadow fallout

My favourite trick to reduce fallout is to do my eye makeup first. If there is any fallout, I can quickly clean it without disturbing the rest of my makeup!

3 Coffee Hacks That Will Save You Money

Hello, lovelies!

If you’ve followed my blog or Instagram for a while, it’s no secret that I am a little obsessed with coffee. I drink 1-3 cups per day and am always experimenting with my coffee maker to try new flavours, save money, and rejuvenate my daily coffee-drinking experience. If you love coffee, here are three tips to help you save money on your daily cup!

1. Make your own iced coffee

This trick is a great method of creating DIY iced coffee. Freeze coffee into an ice cube tray to create coffee ice cubes. Pour hot coffee over the ice cubes to create a quick iced coffee that won’t become watered down.

2. Order a cup of black coffee

Ordering a cup of hot, black coffee is one of the main ways I save money at Starbucks. A cup of black coffee has the most caffeine and it costs less than fancier coffee drinks. I usually buy a grande (medium) black coffee from Starbucks at a cost of $2.82 and a total of 360 mg of caffeine.

3. Buy a special mug

Using a special mug every morning will reduce the urge to buy a cup of coffee from the store every day. By using this special mug at home, you’ll save money in the long-run plus you’ll get more use from your at-home coffee machine.

Are there any ways that you save money on coffee?
