3 Products I Use Weekly to Remove Makeup

Hello, lovelies!

Removing my makeup is an essential step in my daily skincare routine. I rotate between specific products that dissolve makeup while gently cleansing my skin. Here are three products I use weekly!

Clinique Cleansing Oil

Clinique’s Cleansing Oil is a staple in my skincare routine. The oil immediately dissolves my makeup while leaving my skin soft and clean. I like to use this product as my daily makeup remover because it is gentle on my skin. My eye makeup and lipstick do not rinse easily, but this oil breaks down the product effectively!

Sephora Collection Eye Makeup Remover

I’ve used this eye makeup remover for the past five years and it never fails to disappoint. I like to supplement my cleansing oil with this eye makeup remover to dissolve my mascara, eye liner, and eyeshadow. This eye makeup remover has a unique formula – it removes eye makeup without water but it also contains a lash-strengthening complex that is gentle on the eye area.

Makeup Eraser Makeup Removing Cloth

I recently discovered this makeup removing cloth from the brand Makeup Eraser and it is a unique, innovative product. This makeup remover is actually a soft, reusable cloth  that removes makeup with a splash of water! I love that the product is reusable and it is ideal to travel with.

REVIEW: Sephora Collection Contour Eye Pencil

Hello, lovelies!

I typically only wear liquid eyeliner, but tested Sephora Collection’s Contour Eye Pencil after receiving a sample. This eye pencil is waterproof and delivers intense pigment.

The Packaging

I love that this eye pencil is lightweight. I can easily travel with it, however the cap does not snap closed so I’d suggest being careful when placing this product in your purse! The pencil itself is carbon-black and features the ‘Sephora Collection’ logo. It is sleek, and the product colour is visible.

The Pencil

The formula is silky and resistant to water and heat. It does not feel chalky when applied to my eyelid, and the pencil glides smoothly. Unlike a liquid eyeliner, this one dries instantly. I have not tested the product on my lower lash line, but I was impressed with the 4-5 hour wear time this one gave me when applied to my upper lash line!

Sephora Collection’s Contour Eye Pencil comes in a range of 25 shades. I own the shade “01 – Black Lace” which is a beautiful matte black. Each pencil retails for $10 at Sephora.

4 Face Masks I Use to Achieve Clear, Glowing Skin

Hello, lovelies!

Glowing skin and a clear complexion are two of my skin care goals. I like to add face masks into my weekly skin care routine to clarify, detoxify, and moisturize my skin. As a self-proclaimed beauty lover, I’ve tried a variety of masks. Today I share the masks that made it to the top of my ‘must-have’ list.

1. GlamGlow THIRSTYMUD Hydrating Mask

This was the first hydrating face mask I’ve ever tried. This product is from GlamGlow, and I’ve used various masks from their collection. I immediately loved how it added extra moisture to my skin without weighing it down. The THIRSTYMUD Hydrating Treatment  leaves my skin hydrated. glowy and smooth. I typically use this mask 1-2 times a week to supplement with my regular moisturizer.

2. Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mask

I adore Tatcha’s Water Cream Moisturizer and was excited to learn that the brand also has a range of face masks. The Dewy Skin Mask is actually a lightweight sheet mask. Because it does not require rinsing, it is a great skincare option for busy mornings. This mask has the consistency of a serum – perfect for dry skin.

3. GlamGlow YOUTHMUD Tinglexfoliate Treatment

GlamGlow’s YOUTHMUD mask is unique. You apply the mask like others from the GlamGlow collection, but it works differently. Upon contacting the skin, the mask begins to tingle! This mask is excellent for brightening. I enjoy using this mask to exfoliate and clear any blemishes.

4. Sephora Collection Face Masks

Sephora Collection offers single-use sheet masks for the face, eyes, lips, hands, and feet. I like to rotate face masks from this collection into my skincare routine for an instant refresh. Each face mask is reminiscent of a flower, and the names of the masks range from Lotus to rose. My favorite mask from the collection is the Rose mask – it moisturizes and brightens my skin while preventing blemishes.

Do you use any face masks as part of your skincare routine?

Erin Angela’s Latest Sephora Sale Haul

Hello, lovelies!

Sephora’s annual spring sale took place recently. I always tell myself that I don’t need to buy any new products, but I needed to stock up on my beloved Laneige Water Sleeping Mask. Along with the mask, I decided to test out new skincare products and quickly filled my cart. Here’s a peek into my spring Sephora VIB Sale haul!

Laneige Good Night Kit

I repurchased this kit for the second time because Laneige’s masks are an integral component of my daily skincare routine. This kit contains samples of the brand’s Water Sleeping Mask and Lip Sleeping Mask. My skin and lips have felt incredibly dry lately due to the cold, drier weather and both masks have helped hydrate my skin like nothing else I’ve tried.

Sephora Collection Brightening Eye Creme

After testing a sample of Olehenriksen’s Banana Bright Eye Creme, I loved how soft, smooth, and hydrated my under eye area became. I usually never wear eye cream, it quickly became another step in my skincare routine. This mask contains caffeine to depute the eyes, hyaluronic acid to increase moisture retention, and mudar plant bark extract to reduce aging. I’m excited to try the gel-cream formula in comparison to the Banana Bright Eye creme.

Huda Beauty Kay Ali Elixir Sample

I enjoy trying new fragrances and quickly added this sample of Huda Beauty’s Kay Ali Elixir to my cart. I’ve never tested a fragrance from Huda Beauty, but am a devoted fan of the brand’s eyeshadows, lipsticks, and concealer. According to Sephora, this fragrance boasts warm, sweet floral notes with hints of jasmine and rose.

Pat MacGrath Labs Mini MatteTrance Lipstick Set

I’m eager to try a product from Pat McGrath Labs! I never say no to a gorgeous red lipstick, and this adorable mini set contains three lipsticks in various shades of red. This set contains the shades Elson, Obsessed!, and Full Panic. Each lipstick appears to be matte, long-wearing and pigmented but stay tuned for a full review.

REVIEW: Sephora Collection Eyelash Curler

Hello, lovelies!

I recently tried an eyelash curler for the first time and instantly fell in love. I typically only wear mascara on my lashes without curling them, but decided to add a curler to my last Sephora order. This lightweight eyelash curler from Sephora Collection gives my lashes instant volume and lift!

The Packaging

I gravitated toward this eyelash curler once I saw the beautiful golden colour. The lash curler has a shiny chrome finish. The curler is lightweight and travel friendly. My favourite aspect of the curler is the pink silicone pad that comfortably sits between each lash and the outside of the curler. The eyelash curler is slightly curved which gives more flexibility to curl every lash.

The Results

I decided to try this lash curler for a few weeks before I reviewed it. My eyelashes are long without curling, but this curler gives them extra volume! I quickly noticed that it became easier to coat each lash with mascara after they were curled. The curler is ergonomic and lightweight. These two characteristics made the curler easy to rotate to capture all my lashes.

If you’re interested in a lightweight, inexpensive eyelash curler I’d recommend this one from Sephora! The Lash Craft curler gives my lashes length, volume and curl with little effort. Sephora Collection Lash Craft Curler retails for $19 at Sephora.

Erin Angela’s January 2019 Sephora Haul

Hello, lovelies!

Last month I received a few gift cards from Sephora. I’ve been eyeing more eyeshadow products from Tarte and that prompted me to place an online order. After testing all the products in my order, I’m excited to share this haul with you!

Tarte Mermaid Shine Metallic Sea Glass Eyeshadow Set

Once this eyeshadow set arrived in the mail, I swatched it immediately. The set of four eyeshadows has a unique liquid-to-powder formula that feels divine on the eyes! Each shade is sparkly and pigmented.

Milk Makeup Matcha Detoxifying Face Mask

I decided to try a new face mask and added the Matcha Detofixying Mask from Milk Makeup into my basket. I’m eager to add this to my skincare routine. I used it for the first time today and my skin is brighter, smooth, and refreshed.

Urban Decay Quick Fix Complexion Prep Priming Spray

This hydrating priming spray helps invigorate and prep my skin for makeup application. The spray-bottle format allows for better hydration than a traditional primer, and my skin feels dewier and makeup applies smoother.

Sephora Collection Lash Curler

I’ve never tried an eyelash curler before and was curious to test one! I bought a gorgeous gold-coloured lash curler from Sephora’s own brand, and it is easy to use while giving my lashes extra volume.
